All is energy... per Einstein! Its waste disturbs the climate which impacts everything, and that distortion stems from inordinate supply-side money controlling governance, itself stemming from unpracticed Golden Rule relationship amongst the electorate: Interpersonal trust is essential for functional capitalism!
Whatever we do, we must NOT concede to this GOP dictatorship by demeaning the health of ALL others thinking, "I'm OK!" The autocrat's world wherein all are jockeying for power/dominance in every interaction because all/everything, is just an "other," a "not me," in their tiny, self-flagellating, self-consumed, fantasy, is one in which the joys of organic existence are effortlessly overlooked/ignored/dismissed. It's shameful WE allowed thieving cheats to seize POWER, and now we have to cheat the cheats to get it, the narrative, the zeitgeist, back to reality just to stop the cheating!?!

I support the line 5 concrete tunnel plan. I DO NOT support any plan that deviates from an engineered concrete tunnel due to concerns for the longevity, serviceability and overall environmental safety of the new line.

There is still too much evidence that a Line 5 tunnel might prove disastrous for the eco-system
of the Great Lakes as well as the potential hazard of an explosion (near methane deposits) that
would harm our water quality for decades to come. Do not approve this project for a Canadian
company that doesn't care about water safety in Michigan. Remember how Enbridge handled the
oil spill on the Kalamazoo river.

Last minute alternative without public notice appears to bypass the obvious cultural/treaty and endangerment of the most important natural resources seems just a bait and switch strategy to limit the public comment without admitting the defects in the tunnel plan. Go around the lakes and save all of our concerns or build processing at the source.

Why do we need line 5? In a time when we are reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, and building more electric cars. What is the reason for doing anything to line 5, other than cleaning it out and pulling it out of the straights?
Why risk polluting the largest source of fresh water in the world? So a mega corporation can make more money?
Its time to put the needs of the environment BEFORE the needs of companies whose only concern is making profits.
We owe it to future generations to safeguard the Great Lakes from corporate greed.

I am writing in support of the Enbridge Line 5 tunnel through the Straits of Mackinac. The current pipeline has provided good service and a pipeline in a tunnel will provide greater service for the future. A tunnel configuration will provide opportunity for direct monitoring and thus provide safe operation. At the same time, I urge stringent regulatory oversight, especially engineering oversight, for the entire construction project and for subsequent operation of the buried pipeline.

Keep ANYTHING that doesn't belong in the Great Lakes out of the Great Lakes.
Get rid of the pipeline entirely. Stop putting our waters at risk in any way! No one in the world has a right to cause harm to or own any part of a most important and unique part of our world.
The Great Lakes are a gift. We have nothing but a responsibility and duty to protect and care for the entire system of the Great Lakes.
Get rid of the entire pipeline NOW I never allow anything like this in the future. Do it! Do as you are told for once elected officials.

The line 5 Tunnel is by far the safest and most prudent way to move oil across the straits of Mackinac.
Zero chance of future oil spill affecting the environment, enhanced methods of future maintenance and if needed an avenue for additional lines in a 22' wide Tunnel is a horizontal bore hole that is subjected to the environmental impact of soil contact directly against the pipe over time, and potentially damaging the outer skin during the pull through process that could result in the abandonment of that line, and a new bore hole construction.
The Tunnel is the most effective and efficient way to get that oil across the straits and will forever END the chance of oil contamination.
At 68 years old, I have seen more Damage by Michigan A.G.s than doing the right thing for Michigan residents, The Edenville Dam break was a catastrophe due to A.G. Nessel ordering the dam be closed to refill after the Federal dam inspection deemed it unsafe and in need of rebuilding.
But State inspection said it was fine and at the expense of human life and property, a so called rare mussel found in that waterway needed endangered protection, the dam was ordered to resume retention and restore normal water levels.
We all know how that ended.

A.G. Nessel is agenda oriented by political posturing, she has no legitimate reason for blocking the Tunnel, this is about power and control.. Money is Power, Fear is Control, and the standard of the left to subdue and control a free enterprise system when it benefits the wrong people.

Build the Tunnel and end this nonsense

This has not been studied. It SHOULD NOT be approved. This is a bait and switch.
